6 NEW TECHNOLOGIES

6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

My group and I have used many media platforms to construct our product through research, planning and construction of the main media product. We have used media platforms like Twitter and Youtube to research certain ways distributors and large film companies allow audiences to become aware of their film. We have used other smaller media platforms like, Blogger and Slideshare to present our work on research during the process of the group researching. We have then used places like trello to pin ideas onto a board where the whole group can see making it easy for the whole group to plan things together in an organised space which is easy to navigate and simple to use. For the construction we have used certain software and equipment to create our media product, we have used editing software like IMovie and Adobe Aftereffects to merge the filming we have done using equipment like a Canon camera and a Manfrotto tripod.

TRELLO Trello is a fantastic platform that I used when organising my work. It allowed me to tick off what tasks I had completed, as well as see which tasks I still need to do. Here is the post

PADLET I used padlet to help me and my group plan our movie opening where we could all post up scripts and ideas that we could all copy and past onto our blogs
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP Used to create company website as well as to create or edit images used in the company

RESEARCH

PINTEREST
We have used pinterest to create a board of photos. The board I made was a collection of the social groups used in our movie opening, this also allowed us to research the different social groups that we are using in our movie opening. Here is the post
PIkTOCHART
We used Piktochart to present information in an appealing infogrpahic.
BLOGGER
Blogger is being used to display all of our work and post what we have done.
TWITTER
We used twitter to have a look at real movie posts to get an idea of what we could do as well as see how they market the product.

YOUTUBE I have used youtube for easy distribution of videos between the group where it is easy to access and download the videos.

SLIDESHARE I used SlideShare to present my research by upload the different powerpoints I have made as another way to present my work. here it is

PLANNING

PINTEREST pinterest enabled me to present a mixture of pictures that are useful in planning which characters we are using in our final movie opening. Here is the post

EMAZE
Like Slideshare, Emaze presents work visually with beautiful graphical tools and accepts PowerPoint uploads. I used emaze to present a powerpooint presentation about the movie opening of Sherlock Holmes. I creates a fun and exciting new way to present something. Here it is

  1. Whilst you have used a wide range of new technologies in the research, planning, construction and evaluation stages of your production, there should be more visual evidence here to make this particular response a better example of the use of new technology. Can you fix this?
